Shelley Rentsch, RLA, ASLA
Principal
Shelley Rentsch has been practicing landscape architecture since her graduation from the University of Virginia in 1985. The Jeffersonian experience is the foundation upon which Ms. Rentsch approaches landscape architectural design.
This academic tradition combined with Ms. Rentsch’s background in Fine Art creates balance between historic and contemporary design methodologies.
Ms. Rentsch is a registered landscape architect and project manager with over twenty years experience in the design of projects ranging from large scale master planning to site specific landscape design. Project management experience includes corporate headquarters; public, urban and riverfront parks; thematic resort hotel landscape; and campus design. Her technical expertise encompasses perimeter security, ADA planning, highway, parkway and streetscape design. Furthermore, Ms. Rentsch has wide experience in on-structure landscape, historic landscape and traditional garden design.
Ms. Rentsch has coordinated complex, multi-disciplinary teams while keeping projects on schedule and on budget. Comprehensive construction documentation and construction observation are strengths that Ms. Rentsch has refined to lead to an excellent track record of built and occupied projects.
Having lived in the Annapolis/Baltimore-Washington region since 1985, Shelley has found the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay landscape a continual inspiration, which is reflected in her approach to landscape design.
