Lowe House of Delegates Office Building

Location: Annapolis, Maryland

Description: The House of Delegates building is in a prominent location on the main entrance road as people enter the City of Annapolis.  The expansion seamlessly doubled the size of the existing building, creating the need for a new entrance, the opportunity for a street-side seating area and redesigning the streetscape. 

The design provided a more grand entry into the building in keeping with the historic context of the Annapolis civic center.  A street-side gathering area was created portraying the Maryland State flag with customized paving colors and shapes, and streetscape elements were designed to coordinate with the character of the Historic District.
