Description: The landscape plan
takes into account the historic nature of the site,
as well as the requirements of the Maryland Historical
Trust and of Prince George's County. This project was
awarded one of only two Preservation Project Awards
given in 1995 from the Maryland Historical Trust for
extensive rehabilitation work, which returned the mansion
to its 18th century beauty.
A major tree preservation effort included
the redesign of parking and driveway areas with permeable
paving systems. The pedestrian walkway system was realigned,
and exterior lighting was integrated into the site.
